1. Booking & Payment
A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking.
Full payment is due 7 days before the hire start date.
Payment can be made via bank transfer or card.
2. Bond/Security Deposit
A refundable bond of $1,000 is required before pick-up/delivery.
The bond will be refunded within 7 business days, pending inspection and return conditions.
3. Hire Period
The hire period begins and ends on the agreed dates and times.
Late returns may incur additional charges of $50 per hour unless agreed in advance.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations more than 14 days prior: Full refund (minus $50 admin fee).
Cancellations within 14 days: Deposit forfeited.
No-shows or cancellations within 48 hours: Full hire cost payable.
5. Pick-up/Delivery
Pick-up and drop-off are by appointment only.
Delivery can be arranged at an additional cost (subject to availability and location).
6. Driver & Towing Requirements
The hirer must be over 25 years of age and hold a valid Australian driver’s licence.
Your vehicle must be rated to tow the caravan’s weight and fitted with an electronic brake controller. (we have a brake controller available for hire)
DO35 hitch provided; vehicle must have matching receiver or adapter. (DO35 tow point available for hire)
7. Use of Caravan
No smoking inside the caravan.
Pets are only allowed with prior approval.
The caravan must not be used for off-road driving beyond its semi-off-road capability.
The caravan must not be taken outside Australia.
8. Cleaning
The caravan must be returned in a clean condition (inside and outside).
A $150 cleaning fee applies if returned dirty.
Toilet must be emptied – $100 fee if not.
9. Insurance & Damage
The caravan is fully insured.
The hirer is liable for all damages up to the insurance excess amount ($1,500 unless otherwise stated).
The hirer is responsible for tyre punctures, windscreens, and overhead damage not covered by insurance.
10. Breakdowns & Emergencies
Roadside assistance is included.
The hirer must notify Hooey Hire immediately of any incidents or issues.
11. Indemnity
By hiring a caravan from Hooey Hire, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
